Is being a stay at home mom hard? Stuck in the ‘no time to do anything with baby’ rut? Learn how to be a productive mom in my 7-part starter’s series.
You and I already know that moms are the most essential part of a well-run family and household.
But where do you begin, as a complete beginner stay at home mom, to take necessary steps and make changes that lead to thriving home life?
One where YOU ARE READY to create an environment for health, happiness, purpose, positivity, and growth.
Those are too many goals to accomplish at a time.
Where does a mom even begin?
In this 6 part series, each week we are going to focus on one area and go through this journey step by step. I will try to make it as simple and easy for you as a caring friend can.
(Not that I know more or I’m above you, this will equally serve as an accountability session for me as we make progress. Just think of it as a fun project two close friends or sisters decide to do together! You and I let’s thrive sahm life!)
Here is the list of topics we will cover in the following weeks and I will give you simple tasks and tools to help implement each one as we move ahead.
Part 1: This post =)
Part 2: Mom Motivation
We will talk about mom motivation, the lows and highs, and how much we can depend on it. Another essential factor we need to worry about and how to handle demotivation when it strikes.
Part 3: Intentional Living
Have you ever tracked how you actually spend your time? e.g. hours drift waiting for the kids to settle down so we can then do our thing?
Filled tummies 365 days versus healthy family, both are essential. How to cater to both!
Even if we are motivated or disciplined enough, we still need to figure out where we are headed. Long term as well as everyday priorities!
Part 4: Managing Your Time & Energy
Some days you have time but no energy and other days exactly the opposite. And then some days none of them. how to make preparations for such situations.
Part 5: The Best Productivity Tool All The Pro Moms Use
I have seen almost every single mom across more than one culture use this tool, in any form it is easily available to her. Are you? How to get started and more…
Part 6: Learning With Others aka Top Productivity Hacks For Moms
In this post, I will gather some of my own personal favorite productivity hacks from amazing moms who I adore and take inspiration from.
Part 7: Self Care And Consistent Renewal
We will talk about taking care of the goose if we want to continue enjoying her golden eggs. Hint: you’re the golden goose. + Various dimensions of your life you need to nourish and take care of.
The Most Important Of All Things
In any task we take up as sahms, one thing will always remain the most important. That is YOU!
Your resources like time, circumstances, challenges will vary from season to season within your own life as much as it will differ with each mom you meet.
But the importance YOU will deliberately play in designing YOUR life will not change.
I love this quote by Gandalf when Frodo complains:
‘I wish it need not have happened in my time.’
‘So do I,’ said Gandalf, ‘and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.’
